PAST: Art Opening! Check out Smith Farm Center for Healing & the Arts for the latest show on Fri, Nov 2nd, 5:30 - 8:00 at 1632 U St
Smith Farm Center is not only an inspirational Healing Resource Center for adults living with cancer, it is also a great art gallery that seems to have slipped past the radar of many Washingtonians. This is most likely due to the gallery hours, which coincide with the most regular work hour 9-5, Mon-Fri. Stop by after work on Friday, Nov 2 between 5:30 and 8:00 to finally get the chance to see what Smith Farm is all about and to check out their new exhibit featuring the work of three women artists: Robyn Einhorn, Jennifer Beinhacker and Patricia Hartnett. Two of the artists happen to work with mixed media. The Opening/ Artists' Dialogue will be held at 1632 U St, NW, two blocks from the bottom of Adams Morgan at 18th and Florida (which becomes U) and 3 blocks from the U St Metro. The opening, of course, is free of charge, though the center is always happy to accept donations I imagine. You can read more about this event and the work that Smith Farm Center does at www.smithfarm.com. Regular Gallery hours M-F, 9-5, or by appointment. "Curious Stories" runs Nov 2 - Dec 28.
