So, I'm not normally one to promote club events but this one happens to be: 1) totally free on a Friday night and 2) hosted and DJ'ed by two friends I've known since college. And for those of you looking for new things to do, this is held at a new space that I have yet to check out at 1103 Bladensburg Rd, NE.
This time, the set will be focused on the music of Joy Division, in celebration of the new film, "CONTROL," directed by Anton Corbijn about the life of Ian Curtis. Doors open at 10:00 and there is no cover all night long. In addition to the free event, there will also be a bunch of FREE passes handed out to see the new film. Preference definitely goes to anyone wearing Joy Division clothing or in Goth Attire. Passes to the film are good for 2 to any Landmark theater, Monday through Thursday.
If you love 80's music and The Cure, be sure to save the date for the next Lovecats party on Friday Dec 14th, also hosted by DJ Medusa and DJ Strange. More info at: http://www.medusapromotions.com

This is sooo very cool.
ReplyDeleteThe city is an expensive place to live, and I'm all about anything less than $10.
Great idea, Amy!
