REMINDER: ART EXHIBIT: Must See! Who knew that AU had such an AMAZING Art Museum!

I for sure, had no idea that American University was home to one of the most impressive and cutting edge art museums in the city! I was there for the opening of the Abu Ghraib exhibt/ poetry reading and discovered this amazing show displaying the works of Irving Norman, Dark Metropolis. It was too much to take in the gallery in one visit so I will be sure to come back. There is also a show on the first floor on featuring the works of female artists entitled Claiming Space: Some American Feminist Originators.

The second floor really blew me away. It features the crazy, creepy, cool and intricately detailed work of visionary artists Irving Norman (reminds me of the works at the Amercian Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore which is one of my favorite museums in the world).
