PAST: DEC 31st, New Year's Eve Meditation, an option for those of you who may be feeling more reflective this eve, 10:00pm - 2008!

I just found out yesterday that there is going to be a New Year's Eve Meditation Sitting from 10:00pm - midnight or so at the Buddhist Vihara center on 16th St. You can arrive and depart anytime, so you don't need to stay til midnight if you have other plans. The address is 5017 16th St, NW, between Gallatin and Farragut St, just south of Carter Barron.

You can get there by car or by bus easily with the S2 or S4 busline that runs up and down 16th St from downtown to Silver Spring. Get off at Farragut ST or Colorado Ave. Bus costs 1.25 and you can get a free transfer so you can ride back for free. You can also metro and transfer to the bus for 35 cents and still get a transfer for the ride back. Rides home may also be arranged if you stay til the end.

Donations will be accepted. All meditation traditions welcome. Mats and cushions will be available. This will be a silent meditation with a group of people in a meditation hall. Seated and walking meditation areas. Questions, email Madison at meditationdc@gmail.com and include the word meditation in the subject or call 202-588-9144.
