PAST: Jenna Speaks! (not Jenna Jameson... Jenna Bush!) BOOK TALK & Signing, THURS, DEC 13th, at Borders, 14th & F St, NW, 12:30pm

Update on this one...

Well... Jenna DIDN'T SPEAK! What a disappointment. It turns out that this was a book signing only, no pictures, no personalizations either. I wanted to at least have a look at the book, but I couldn't find it anywhere on display. When I asked about it, the guy told me that they had put them behind the counter and pulled them from the shelves. You couldn't see Jenna either, they had her tucked behind columns and shelves in the back corner, all you could see were the peering eyes of secret service and Borders employees. Kind of gave me the creeps to be honest. I made a complaint that they didn't say "signing only" and left, headed in the direction of Barnes and Noble.

Jenna Bush will read and sign copies of her book, "Ana's Story: A Journey of Hope" on Thursday, December 13th at 12:30pm at the Borders downtown at 14th and F St, NW.

Perhaps Jenna is different, I think to myself. I really do want to believe that she truly cares about suffering in this world! "Oh, Jenna, is it possible that you really care!" Tell me it is so. Well, unfortunately for her, it may take a little more than writing a book to prove it, but at least one Bush is trying to do some good in the world. I heard that when she was overseas working with the poor in other countries she was simply known as "Ms. Jenna!" If that is, in fact true, I can only imagine what a relief that must have been for her to not be known as one of the twins and the daughter of Bush on top of it! I am curious about this one. I admit it. I want to hear what she has to say and I am sure that this will be a lively event considering that it is going to be in the heart of DC and just a few blocks from that big white house. I have a feeling that many of you out there may be curious enough to do the same. Note the talk starts at 12:30, which means you will likely need a longer lunch break. I imagine arriving early would be a good idea for this one, security will probably be there.
