This Friday, January 18th, Sounds of hope at the Potter's House presents their monthly OPEN MIC NIGHT. Safe and supportive space to share music or words. A space where folks really listen. All ages, styles and experiences welcome. Sign up at 7. Show goes til 11. This is a free event. Music, poetry, piano, whatever you want to perform, the mic is open.

This monthly event is usually held on the last Friday of the month but next Friday, the 25th, Potters House will host the fabulous Malcolm X Drummers and Dancers.

Timmy's homemade spinach lasagna and Potter's House famous desserts will be available at very affordable prices. You can also check out their on site bookstore for great selections and beautiful fair trade gifts.

The Potter’s House is located at 1658 Columbia Rd, NW in Adams Morgan, between 16th and 17th St. Between Woodly Park and Columbia Heights Metro, best reached by the 42 bus to Columbia Rd and Mozart Place. By Car: If you can't find a space on the street, just double park & run in for a permit (just $5 and 2 short blocks).
