Not as much going on Thursday night since that tends to be a busy social night I guess... Here are some suggestions:
The Kennedy Center has free daily performances at 6:00pm

Open Mic Comedy Night at Topaz Hotel, 8:00-10:00pm
Metro to Dupont South, 1733 N St, NW Lower Level. Sign-up: e-mail CurtShackelford@verizon.net. For a complete list of venues throughout the DC Area: http://www.dcstandup.com/openmics.shtml
A good night to go Ice Skating at the NGA Sculpture Garden http://www.nga.gov/ginfo/skating.shtm
Winter only, now through March 9th, 2008
If you are over 21, you may want to check out a band or head to a bar or nightclub in town. Thursday eves tend to be less crowded than Fri & Sat, and more enjoyable in my opinion. See the Washington City Paper for ideas: www.washingtoncitypaper.com
"Different Drum" Open Mic in Takoma ParkEvery Thursday from 5:00pm-8:00pm you can bang your drum! Bring your drums, spoken word poetry or other musical instruments to Darhyl Lyons’ “Different Drum” events at 7014 Westmoreland Ave in Takoma Park and experience a revival of your spirit through expressive arts exploration in a community space. FREE + donations welcome. I haven't been yet but my friend Kristen, aka Drum Lady, drums there.
