This looks like a must attend in my book. I've been a fan of Laurie Anderson for years and this is a rare opportunity to hear her speak in the area as she usually performs.
Laurie Anderson will present a talk on Andy Warhol's piece Little Electric Chair as part of the American Pictures Distinguished Lecture Series this Sat, March 15th, at 4:30pm. The event is free. Tickets are available beginning at 3:30 at the G St lobby information desk. Doors open for the lecture at 4:00.
The Smithsonian American Art Museum and National Portrait Gallery is located just across from Chinatown metro between F and G, 7th and 9th.
