I just found out about this event inadvertently through the link to "Poetry Out Loud" which is a fabulous resource for poetry!!! It turns out that their National Competition is happening at Lisner this Monday and Tuesday evening, and its FREE, which is always fabulous!
THE 2008 NATIONAL FINALS: TUES, April 29th, Semi-finals on MON, April 28th
The 2008 National Finals will be held at Lisner Auditorium, GWU
Semifinal rounds will take place all-day on Monday, April 28th
Finals will be held in the evening on Tuesday, April 29th.
Admission is free and open to the public.
A time for the Tuesday evening performance is not listed.
I suggest calling Lisner to find out the exact time, my guess is 7:00pm or 8:00pm.
