"Baghdad Fragment"

Susanne Ayoub visited her native Iraq in 2002 to shoot a film and to find members of her family whom she had not seen since she had left the country at the age of six. Both endeavors failed at first. However, in 2004, she published a book, "Born in Baghdad," and two years later revised the film material she had shot in 2002. The result is a film that goes beyond her personal story, and documents life in Iraq before the US-led invasion of 2003. Following the screening, Susanne Ayoub will read from her writings about Iraq.
