GPI Celebrates it's 5th Year! That's right folks -- the autumn leaves are falling and we'll be hosting our final outdoor open mic on Monday, October 20th. The amazing Kirsten Arant and the Young Women Drumming Empowerment Program will be this month's musical feature -- inspiration will abound! Our beloved Mo will be hosting! Melodies, poetic stylings, drumming, chalking and positive vibes can be found at the GPI open mic. Come BE the show! The mic is open for all to express their freedom of speech. On a personal note, these guys are fabulous people, friends of mine. I'm planning to be there this month, it should be a fabulous time. Next month, the party moves indoors back to the old Word-of-Mouth readings spot - Bossa, one of my favorite bars located in the heart of Adams Morgan. Mark your calendars for Monday, November 10th (and every 2nd Monday of the month thereafter). Bossa is located at 2363 18th St, NW, close to the corner of Columbia Rd.
