How does one describe the place? A unique, DC experience. Owner Andy Shallal, of Busboys & Poets, is at it again and I can't wait to check the place out. Large murals on the walls honor Zora Neale Hurston, who is the inspiration behind this new eatery. The H Street Country Club will open on Wednesday, May 27th, bringing eclectic Mexican Cuisine to The Atlas District. With celebrated Chef Ann Cashion as the creative mind behind the menu, this 6,800 sq.ft, 300-seat dining destination will serve up fresh, authentic Mexican cuisine with both southern and northern accents. The design of the restaurant and golf course was executed by artist Lee T. Wheeler of Arlington, VA, who has created an extraordinary and innovative space designed to awaken the imagination of guests.
