Proceeds from the event will go to sending the 2009 DC Youth Slam Team, to Chicago on July 14th-19th to compete in the 12th Annual Brave New Voices International Youth Poetry Slam Festival which Regie Cabico is also a part of (reference to post on Sparkle).
