PAST: Support local artists and help the homeless this Mother's Day! "Shop for Shelter" SAT, May 9th in Alexendria, VA, 11:00am - 3:00pm

Shop for Shelter
Saturday, May 9th
11:00am - 3:00pm

A Special Mother’s Day Shopping Event and Benefit for the Carpenter’s Shelter, Northern Virginia's largest homeless program located in Old Town. This is a win-win event. Not only is it a benefit for the homeless shelter, it is also a great way to find a unique gift for yourself or your mom and to support some of the area's local artists and designers. My friends from Mishi jewelery will be there. Many items will be sold at reduced prices as well! Complimentary goodies include: refreshments, chocolates, cash bar, door prizes.

This event is FREE if you RSVP by May 7th. At the door: $5
Please Call 703 888 3696 or email yahaira@tu-anh.com

This event is brought to you by polished by tu-anh in partnership with The Westin Alexandria & Carpenter’s Shelter

The Westin Alexandria
400 Courthouse Square
Alexandria, VA 22314-5700

By car: there should be plenty of street parking or in the garage for $8 Metro: See www.wmata.com. Located between Eisenhower Ave and King St metro, may be a bus but may need to take a cab. I'd call the Westin to see if they have a shuttle service as well, many hotels do.
