6:00pm - 8:00pm
You can also vote online now - July 31st!

I hope you will read more about my idea to create an Urban Green Space that is an eco-friendly designed, nature inspired (bringing Zen to the city) cafe and gathering space filled with trees and plants and natural elements. On the lower level there will be a shared workspace that can also be used for arts, crafts, health, healing and green workshops and events (the stuff I like to blog about). The space can also be rented for private parties and events on eves and weekends. This new model embraces a healthier and more holistic view of life in the city by creating a place of calm (off the yoga mat or cushion) for our busy lives and also and provides a community resource and education space. It also encourages reflection, creativity, connection, and innovation and supports an eco-friendly and conscious urban lifestyle.

Sarah's idea for TBL Designs is also inspired by eco-consciouos with a more artisan spin. Please have a look at all of the ideas and come out if you can to see the space and vote for the one you like best. Of course, you know who I voted for! Voting will go from July 24th through July 31st and the highest rated idea will win $500! (which I could use for sure, but I'd really like to have my design staged and turn it into a reality). One idea will be selected from the highest rated ideas and will actually be staged in the Solea live-work space at 1405 Florida Avenue by a professional designer. Come back on August 20 to for an awards ceremony and to see the space transformed into a real live-work environment.
