PAST: Outdoor LED Sculptures (look a bit like lava lamps) at Strathmore on view through August 13th, Free

Strathmore Fine Art Presents "Rubber Bullet's and Feather Fountain" 7-Foot Outdoor Sculptures and Fountain Mark the Washington Area Debut of New York Sculpture Artist Daniel Wurtzel. This is the last week it will be on view. Exhibition leaves on August 13th. To be honest, they look a bit like phallic lava lamps but I dig them based on the pics I've seen. Click here to view images.

The Rubber Bullets are three sculptures over seven feet tall, plus three sculptures that are four feet 10 inches tall with butterflies suspended inside solid, clear, flexible, platinum based silicone rubber. All six Rubber Bullets on display outside the Mansion at Strathmore near the Gazebo and have LED lights in the base that produce a variety of colors. The Feather Fountain is another work that is on view inside of the Music Center’s Lobby. All sculptures are on view during the Strathmore summer concert series and during business hours. Admission is free. Read complete press release here!
