Sandra Beasley aDC poet and nonfiction writer, serves as the Literary Chair for The Arts Club of Washington . She is also behind the Flirting with the Masters series. Tonight, the Arts Club of Washington will host J. C. Hallman for an event that bridges the gap between “creative” writing and “theoretical” criticism—advocating, instead, for philosophy in fiction and creative criticism. Hallman will read from his short story collection, The Hospital for Bad Poets, as well as the just-released The Story About the Story: Great Writers Explore Great Literature, which he edited.
