In response to the comment sent in by anonymous, I agree that the Phillips After Five is a confusing event which is why I was trying to clarify that in the post.
ReplyDeleteAll information that I put up is based on the information as I receive online in the email or invite from the people organizing the event. I had a similar experience when I was there over the summer and I have spoken directly with their marketing manager about this to make sure that everyone on their staff is clear about this. I encourage you to contact them directly if you want to express your concerns.
Officially, the After Five event is a free/donation based event to get in to and they can not refuse you admission to the museum. The special exhibit is not included in that and requires full admission, which is noted in the post. The Art is ____ event was organized by the Pinkline Project and was in the Cafe so that should have been included in the basic admission.
I was inspired by your comment to go ahead and change the info in the header box of the site to clarify that events are free, donation based or cost ten bucks or less and cover is always noted in the post.
Hope this helps to explain things!
