December 25th Day of Service 2009
Registration closes at Noon Today,Thursday the 24th!
Over 1,000 volunteers participate in a variety projects
Serve over 50 social service agencies throughout the DC metro area
The project serves over 10,000 people
Projects last from 1-3 hours and include serving meals to seniors, preparing food for the homeless and throwing holiday parties. Volunteers also have the opportunity to donate blood, paint walls at a local elementary school and spend time with children and seniors—filling in so their caregivers can celebrate Christmas with their families.

Gently Used Clothing - Donations of gently used clothing will be accepted on December 24th and 25th. Clean out your closets but please make sure that what you bring us is clean. Thank you!
Toiletries - Collect shampoo, lotions and hand sanitizer for us to give to the homeless community as gifts.
Warm Winter Wear - Bring new socks, gloves, hats, scarves and new or gently used coats to the Washington DCJCC now through December 25. All coats will be donated to Serve DC's One Warm Coat collection!
Snacks - Bring any sized packages of raisins, chocolate chips or M&M candies and peanuts to make trail mix. We'll distribute them on December 25th.
All items will be collected in a bin in the corner near the front desk of the Washington DCJCC's Q Street entrance, just off of 16th St. Thank you for your support!
