The celebration will honor three dynamic individuals dedicated to nurturing sustainable, caring communities rooted in principles of peace and justice. At Busboys and Poets 14th & V St. The International Award will go to Audri Scott Williams, The National Award will go to Marian Wright Edelman and the Local Award Recipient will be announced at the event.
This year's awards will be complimented with musical performances by the amazingly talented friends of mine Mary Shapiro, Courtney Dowe and Christylez Bacon, along with the beautiful vocals of Three Generations and additional performances by Three Generations, The Cornel West Theory, Jali-D, Allyson Way and others! This is sure to be an amazing night of music, well worth the $10 admission.
