A Thousand Blooms is a photos and artworks exhibitions, musical & dance performance, fashion catwalk modeling, and indie shorts screening event to celebrate the liberating, redemptive, and galvanizing "thousand blooms" power of love for humanity through artistic expressions that affirm human rights, heal injustices, and breach cultural, societal and religious divides and in the process helps build a more vibrant and tolerant community

In addition, Margarite d'Arsinoe will be exhibiting her rarefied artworks at "A Thousand Blooms" as our Special Guest Artist. Ms. d'Arsinoe had 3 solo shows at the Govinda Gallery, was featured in the Washington Post and Elle Decor, and interviewed by Charlie Rose and P.B.S. Director Jesse Vaughn Jr. did a film about the making of her sculptures and Daryl Hannah played M. d'Arsinoe in Melissa Painter's film, "Wildflowers *

6:30PM Catwalk Modeling of Love Is Love Tees, a custom designed and cut series of tee-shirts featuring arts images of gay, lesbian, and interfaith & interracial couples. Portion of the proceeds from their sales to benefit advocacy for for Gay Marriage

7:00PM Screening of Arthouse Short Film "Return of the Cicadas" [TRT 15 mins - 16mm] about the spiritual redemption of a Vietnam War vet and the Amerisian daughter he abandoned after the War | mature subject matter - parental discretion is advised for under 18 | - Selection of the Georgetown Film Festival And the Mid-Atlantic Film Festival

7:30PM DC indie musical and dance performances (acts to be announced)
