Beginning Saturday May 1st, five DC neighborhoods (listed below) kick off a monthly series of First Saturday events. They will host performances, historic tours, art exhibits, and other activities for diners, shoppers and residents. Building on the local tradition of our neighborhood commercial corridors as a meeting place for the community, DC Main Streets integrates special events and programming into revitalization strategies, to help attract consumers to the district and reinforce support of our business neighbors. Events will take place May 1st - October 2nd on the 1st Saturday of the month and are held rain or shine, and are free for the most part, unless otherwise noted in the program schedule.
