Five local bands perform this Friday Night at the Fridge. This is going to be a great event for a great cause at a super cool space! Proceeds from this concert go to support the work of the Whitman Walker Clinic and the headlining band, Mother, is a local psychedelic Brit-rock style band I really enjoy, that also happens to include one of my closest friends.

From the facebook invite, where you can also learn more about Whitman Walker Clinic and the bands performing: "D.C. bands are coming together Friday, June 4th at The Fridge to raise funds in support of The Whitman Walker Clinic. This will be the seventh in a series of benefit concerts that Jeremy Joseph, the event’s organizer, has been holding in DC for local charities since June of last year."

The show kicks off at 9:00pm and features (listen on myspace) Mother, Daddy Lion, Foul Swoops, Stout Cortez, and a solo performance by Nate Frey of Last Tide.
