From the email I got "The District's budget for safety net services is going down in flames. Mayday! Mayday! In the past two years over $100 million has been cut from essential services, which has sent working families into distress and weakened our community. DC needs more revenue to be able to invest in an economic recovery that includes everyone, and the Save Our Safety Net campaign is working to make sure a fair share is paid by those who are least affected by the recession."
