Bike down to Pennsylvania Avenue for "Pedalpalooza on Pennsylvania"
Saturday, May 23rd
7:00am - 10:30am
Free

Very cool to hear about this event! It looks like the Entire Street will be closed to car traffice between 7th & 14th St on Pennsylvania Ave, NW. This is a great chance to Bike - Walk- Skate - Jog or just hang out and stroll in the street. More info on BikeDC.net

More serious about your biking? Perhaps you will want to take part in the Washington & Arlington Community Bike Ride on Sunday, though it's Not Free and Registration is Required. I am a huge fan of biking and I thought that a day with 20 miles of car-free biking was worth mentioning, perhaps some of you may be interested, or perhaps may want to just watch the bikers go by. Register online here. Pricing: Kids 12 and under are free. Teens ages 13-19 $20 in advance $30 at the event. Adults 20 and older are $35. Start at Pennsylvania Ave, NW in DC (opens at 7:00am) Start times 7:30am - 8:30am. Finish in Crystal City, VA.
P.S. For those coming in from out of the area who don't want to bike into DC, you can also put your bike on the metro with you for no extra charge on the weekends (and weekdays, in fact, any time except rush hours) just be sure to use the doors at the front or back of the train.
Pennyslvania Ave between 7th & 14th St, NW
Metro: Federal Triangle or Archives Navy Memorial
