"This very popular free, weekend-long event, in partnership with the Phillips Collection, will celebrate the synergy between jazz and the visual arts. Featured artists include the Berklee World Jazz Nonet, Brad Linde, George V. Johnson, Reginald Cyntje, the DC Jazz Collaborative, Susan Priester, Noble Jolley, Charles Woods Quartet, Michael Bowie Trio, Victor Provost and the Sousa Middle School Dance Ensemble.. Fun-filled activities for kids include story-telling, hands-on art workshops, and an instrument petting zoo. In the galleries, art inspires musical interpretation as musicians interpret art through improvised sound. Children will have an opportunity and create their own art in the intimate setting of the Phillips Collection, surrounded by masterpieces by Renoir, Pablo Picasso, Georgia O’Keefe, Marc Rothko, and many others."
