PAST: The Textile Museum hosts a Celebration of Textiles Festival this SAT, June 5th & SUN, June 6th as part of Museum Walk Weekend, Free!

Celebration of Textiles
All Ages, Free
More info here

Saturday, June 5th
10:00am - 4:00pm

Sunday, June 6th
1:00pm - 5:00pm

The museum gardens are transformed into a hands-on exploration of textile techniques during this free, annual two-day festival. Explore the galleries and then step outside to watch live sheep shearing (weather permitting), try your hand at woodblock printing, and watch embroidery, weaving, lace making, and quilting demonstrations by local artists and craftspeople.

This festival is part of the Dupont Kalorama Museums Consortium 27th Annual Museum Walk Weekend, which you can read about in the post I put up earlier here. Note that The Phillips Collection, nearby on 21st St, will also be hosting special events, many of which are inspired by the DC Jazz Festivak, all weekend as well as part of the Museum Walk Weekend, in case you want to swing by.
