Contradiction Dance, the maverick dance studio that hosts poi and hoop classes and is home to Dance Afire and Revolutionary Motion is hosting a benefit this Saturday starting at 5:30 and going to whenever. For a $10 cover you'll be privy to drink specials and VIP treatment at Social on 14th and Meridian Place in Columbia Heights. Why the benefit? When Contradiction Dance moved from Takoma Park to Silver Spring last fall hoping for a fresh start in a less expensive space, the blizzard also hit DC and took the wind from their momentum for the winter and spring and they are in need of help still. If you are a fan or hooping, poi and object manipulation arts - please come and show your support and meet other cool, like-minded folks this Saturday at Social in Columbia Heights!
