Saturday, July 24th & Sunday, July 25th
Three special events to note below!

ScoutQuest - High-tech Scavenger Hunt - With some of the country’s finest museums located in D.C., it wouldn’t be much of a celebration without seeing some of our greatest national treasures! Open to Scouts and non-Scouts alike, ScoutQuest is a high-tech scavenger hunt where participants will visit various museums around the city to find specially placed QR (Quick Response) codes they can scan with smart phones. Once scanned, each QR code will reveal a piece of Scouting history! For a list of participating museums and institutions, please visit www.adventurebase100.org/scoutquest. Saturday, July 24 & Sunday, July 25

Boy Scouts of America Parade - The BSA Grand Centennial Parade will take place on Sunday July 25. Starting at 1 p.m., more than 10,000 scouts and volunteers will march down Constitution Avenue between 7th and 17th streets. The parade will also feature American Idol runner-up Justin Guarini; six major floats; 12 balloons including two of the beavers from the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver; Screech, the Washington Nationals Mascot; and the Geico Racing Presidents.

Adventure Base 100 - The Centennial events continue on the National Mall (between 15th Street and Constitution Ave) with Adventure Base 100, a unique, interactive 10,000+ square-foot traveling campus featuring hands-on views and exhibits of the Boy Scouts of America 100-year history. Adventure Base 100 will be in Washington, D.C. July 23 to August 8, as just one of its 40 stops across the country.
