PAST: MUSIC + ART: "The Green Carpet Affair" Benefit for DC Greenworks this WED, August 25th at Eastern Market 6:00pm - 9:30pm, Donation based
and artists will perform at “The Green Carpet Affair” to benefit DC Greenworks, a local nonprofit.
The event invites music fans, artists and activists to enjoy music performances, live art, award-winning craft beer, organic food and discussion around the DC green scene. There will also be a
Live Art Installation to Music by Jay Coleman, which will be auctioned off at the end of the evening.
Sponsors are donating organic food from Occasions Caterers, and beer will be provided by California’s Lagunitas Brewing Company.
The Monument Music & Arts Festival. and Bobby Cato, the event will be a platform for action and education, inspiring DC residents to come together to reduce the District’s carbon footprint through simple everyday actions and long-term initiatives. Funds collected at the event will benefit DC Greenworks, a local 501(c)3 that serves the community through green collar job training and efforts to restore, protect, and enhance the area’s environment.
