Live Online Chat: Discussion of
“Activating Federal Places” with
NCPC Urban Planners Shane Dettman and David Zaidain
Thursday, September 16th
Join NCPC Urban Planners Shane Dettman and David Zaidain as they take your questions and discuss innovative solutions that are beginning to transform federal facilities and attract activity beyond the traditional work day. Examples include the addition of retail, dining, sidewalk cafes, museums, cultural attractions, outdoor events, inviting parks, and usable plazas.
Additionally, NCPC’s “Activating Federal Places” initiative is informing the development of an Urban Design element to be added to Washington’s Comprehensive Plan, the federal government's long term urban planning vision for the city.
