PAST: FILM: "For the Next 7 Generations" DC Premiere at National Geographic WED, Sept 29th at 7:00pm, Tickets available now for just $5
About the film: For the Next 7 Generations is an inspiring documentary that follows 13 indigenous grandmothers who did not know each other but each had heard a prophecy that called them forth from around the world–the Amazon, Asia, Africa, Mexico, the Arctic Circle, and the U.S. The prophecy told them that they must come together at this critical time in history and speak out to the world in one united voice to share their sacred wisdom. From this common vision, the International Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers was formed to share their ways of peacemaking and healing with the world. The film follows the Grandmothers' early travels to the Pojoaque Pueblo in New Mexico to the Brazilian Amazon.
Produced and directed by Peabody and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Carole Hart, and narrated by Ashley Judd. Film 2009, 85 min, various languages with English subtitles.
