From Hillyer email "On the First Friday of every month galleries in our community open their doors to multitudes of art enthusiasts from all walks of life for simultaneous openings. We encourage all to join us for our openings and to circulate between our neighboring galleries, which host an ever-changing array of styles and media."
Note that most other galleries are only open from 6:00pm - 8:00pm, Hillyer stays open the latest, til 9:00pm. There isn't an official website for the galleries in Dupont but the Dupont Circle Arts blog seems to be a pretty good resource. If you start at WPA or Hillyer and work from there - they may have an old map on hand - you can just follow the people to galleries along R St and Conn Ave mostly.
