Love poetry and open mics? Check out DC Guerrilla Poetry Insurgency at their monthly open mic night at Bossa in Adams Morgan. This is one of the most intimate and longest running poetry and spoken word events in DC and one of my personal faves, run by some fabulous folks I've known for many years.

Feel free to come out to listen or to read. The open mic will be upstairs from 7:00pm - 9:00pm with the DC Guerrilla Poetry Insurgency, usually followed by life music from Cheik Hamala's Griot Street Band or from the Akoma Drummers from 9:30pm - 11:45pm downstairs for those who wish to stick around.
