"Explore the mechanics of dance posture; soft & hard isolations; how movements initiate, flow & culminate; timing & sinking into the movement; listening & improvisation; deep, internal undulations with careful attention to weight shifts; beautiful hands & arms; shimmy drills & combinations." Oriental & tribal styles, all levels. Bilingual community classes. More info at  MoveYourBelly.com

"A nurturing and demanding instructor, Marta approaches teaching from a holistic perspective, emphasizing technique, stylization, and musical interpretation. With a clear historical and cultural foundation, she invites more advanced students to fuse their own styles, where appropriate, allowing for the exploration of each one's unique voice."
