The Iconic and the Everyday exhibit explores the contemporary presence and influence of Finnish architecture, design and industry in the lives of everyday Americans. The exhibit focuses on iconic architecture in the United States by Finnish masters such as Eero Saarinen, Alvar Aalto and the likes, as well as, the everyday items by Finnish companies, such as Marimekko and Fiskars, known not only for their design but also, functionality. The exhibition is curated by Professor Peter MacKeith, Dean of Architecture at the Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design in University of Arkansas. The exhibition designer is architect Jonathan Boelkins.

The exhibition also has a reading nook where children and the childlike can get to know Moomins, the loved cartoon characters from Tove Jansson. Moomins live in Moominvalley and go on many wondrous and often accidental adventures. Even adults can learn something from the surprisingly philosophical and laid back characters.
