"Dupont Kalorama Museum Walk Weekend is the perfect excuse to explore D.C.'s "off-the-mall" museums. In addition to a wide variety of exhibitions, many sites are offering special programs in keeping with the "live green, love local" theme." The DC Jazz Festival features more than 100 jazz performances at concert venues and clubs throughout Washington, DC. Signature events include Jazz on the Mall, Bobby McFerrin at the Warner Theatre and a Kennedy Center concert featuring artists from HBO'S Treme. Runs June 1-13. Some events are free but many have a cover over ten dollars so please be sure to click through each event.

The purpose of this conference is to “bring attention to Cuba’s internal discourses and negotiations on racial identity, racism, and government policies to address one of the most fundamental democratic issues in Cuba today.” The conference begins with coffee at 9:00am, and includes four panels with a break for lunch at noon.
