OF NOTE: Where to Wi-Fi for Free in DC! Updated List - May 2012

Free Wi-Fi Spots in DC!I am sure there are more I haven't listed yet... Please add any additional locations in DC or next to a metro in MD or VA along with the address, area, and link if you have it in the comment section and I will add it to the list! This list was updated in May 24, 2012. 

My personal favorite independent coffee shops to work from: Bourbon, Yola, Flying Fish, Chinatown Coffee, Filter, Tynan and Tryst. Two new spots I really like - Blind Dog Cafe and Coffy Cafe!

  8. Re: Arlington, Murky has closed and I am not sure what, if anything, has opened in its place. You can always go to the Barnes and Noble in Clarendon now for free wifi (this is a recent change) or Starbucks (though its a bit more work to log on from there). I'm not too familiar with Arlington, perhaps other readers have suggestions. If so, hope they will share. Perhaps Iota Club and Cafe? Public libraries also. I'd google coffee in Arlington and click through to see what you can find. Let me know if you do and I'll add it to the list if its metro accessible. Busboys and Poets in Shirlington I know has wifi also.

  9. There's a coffee shop off Wilson Blvd in between Courthouse and Rosslyn metro stops called Greenberry's. Tasty and free wireless but often a battle to find a seat.

  17. safeway in georgetown/glover park has a cafe seating area (furnished with living room sofas, tables, stools, tvs.)with free wifi. Domku in petworth has free wifi.

  18. Regarding Clarendon... Northside Social (formerly Murky) has Wi-Fi, no password required (at least the last time I used it). The caveat is that the place tends to get unbelievably crowded on weekends.
