OF NOTE: Feeling Tired or Stressed? Why not take a Nap? Lunar Massage is now offering Free Thirty-Minute Naps during the Week! All Three DC locations participating MON - FRI, Same-day or walk-in only, subject to availability, 11:00am - 7:00pm, Free

Why nap here?...
Don't nap at the office, come to Lunar Massage for Free Thirty-Minute Naps during the Week!
Monday - Friday based on availability
11:00am - 7:00pm
Free!
Same-day, call first or walk-in, based on availability

My friend Doris, who works at Lunar Massage, put the 30 minute nap on the menu as a novelty idea. Starting this month, the nap offer is free!

When you can nap here!
Lunar Massage now has three locations in DC! Mt Vernon Triangle, Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan.

I'm personally a huge fan of naps and love that working for myself running this site allows me to nap whenever I feel the need. I find naps especially enriching during the colder, darker winter months. Need some convincing? Check out this article 5 Reasons Why Every Office Needs Nap Time, benefits include increased creativity and productivity. Unleash the Power of the Nap says: "Sadly, napping is often frowned upon in our workaholic American culture... Naps are for the lazy and unambitious. Or for retirees with plenty of time on their hands... But in reality, the nap stigma is incredibly misplaced. Naps can be one of the most powerful tools for self-improvement; they can increase not only our health and well-being but our intelligence and productivity as well. Famous thinkers and leaders like Edison, JFK, Churchill, and Napoleon were all ardent nappers."

I believe that napping, like meditation, is something that can help us to be more present, alert, creative and centered. It can also help us to reconnect with a sense of calm, harmony and balance and is good for the mind, body and soul. Plus, when we're less stressed, we are much nicer to other people and nicer to be around.
Why not take a nap after work as a buffer between whatever you do that night, be it going out with friends or to a show, or just going home.... it sounds a lot nicer than dealing with the rush hour craziness. Here is what you need to do to get your nap in: Same-day call ahead or walk-ins only, they are not able to reserve a table for tomorrow or next week and are not able to reserve naps in advance online as it is subject to table availability. Don't nod off at work, get some restorative shut-eye at Lunar Massage. They'll hook you up with a massage table to nap on and even give you a pillow and blanket too. Give them a call at 202-560-3575.

Autism is defined by a certain set of behaviors and is a “spectrum disorder” that affects individuals differently and to varying degrees. Autism has risen from 1 in 110 in 2008 to 1 in 88 in 2012 in the U.S., according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and is the fastest-growing developmental disability today. There is no known single cause for autism, but increased awareness and funding can help families. Autism Speaks is an autism fundraising, science and advocacy organization founded in 2005 by a couple whose grandchild had autism.
