Learn more about local middle school students’ exploration of Washington, D.C. as CityVision participants share their view for their city. After studying the basics of urban design and architecture, students from Takoma Education Campus and Raymond Education Campus present their innovative plans for Buzzard Point, the proposed area for a new soccer stadium.

Part Two: playbackthetape's the Twelve Tapes of Christmas

'Tis the week before Christmas and up on the screen will be home-recorded classics in red, white and green! playbackthetape brings you the 12 tapes of christmas -- twelve vintage holiday classics, each taped from broadcast television in the 1980s and early 90s, with original commercials and news clips intact! join us for some or for all, as we present eight hours of vhs merriment over the course of two nights! Part One was last on Wednesday, December 17.

Kickin' Off (Episode II) this time at Zeba Bar

Roll through every Third Thursday for deep house brought to you by DJ & MC Shahid Buttar (listen here) and a steady stream of DC's funkiest electronic musicians. First edition was at Bossa, this time they'll be at Zeba,  which has a larger dance floor, a stronger sound system, hookahs, and an outdoor deck. Guest DJ this month is Paul Geddes. Paul's a founding resident of Distrikt, a Burning Man sound camp based in SF that throws epic afternoon throwdowns in the desert. Check out his mixes online here.
