"The DC Zinefest hopes to create a space for zine makers, writers, and self-published artists to share their work with each other and with the city of Washington, DC. By providing an opportunity to expo, workshop, and interact with zines, we strive to build and support a thriving DIY community."

Schedule:

Zine Expo 11:00am - 5:00pm
Readings 1:00pm - 1:45pm
Workshops 2:00pm - 3:45pm

"What's a Zine? A zine (abbreviation of fanzine, or magazine) is most commonly a small circulation publication of original or appropriated texts and images usually reproduced via photocopier. More broadly, the term encompasses any self-published work of minority interest."
