"A 1997 documentary about Bob Flanagan, the Los Angeles writer, poet, performance artist, and comic, and his long-term dominatrix/partner, Sheree Rose. Flanagan suffered from the genetic lung disease, Cystic Fibrosis, throughout his short life, he died in 1996 at the age of 43. This poignant, disturbing, yet also very funny documentary examines his personal odyssey to gain a measure of control over his body by inflicting pain on himself.
