Live jazz and blues at Columbia Station every Tuesday night
This place is understated but the music is usually really great and speaks to you in a Miles Davis-y sort of way, I believe they have live Jazz most nights of the week. Please see their website for the calendar of events. Admission is free, though you will likely be expected to purchase at least one drink. 21+

Metro: Dupont Circle and take the 42 toward Mt Pleasant to Belmont and walk down a block or take the Circulator bus from Woodley Park or Columbia Heights to Adams Mill/ 18th St and walk about two blocks or so down 18th
