PAST: Have you seen the Capitol Christmas Tree yet? It's on view Now - Jan 1st

U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree
On view - Saturday, January 1st
Free

This year's tree – a 67-foot Engelmann spruce – is from Wyoming's Bridger-Teton National Forest.
The Capitol Christmas Tree will be lit from dusk until 11 p.m. each evening through January 1, 2011. As part of the Architect of the Capitol's continuing commitment to save energy, strands of LED (Light Emitting Diodes) lights will be used to decorate the entire tree. LED lights use little electricity, have an extremely long life-span, and are environmentally friendly.

Constitution and Independence Avenues
Metro: Nearest stations are Capitol South, Federal Center SW or Union Station and walk, or take any of the 30 line buses, which will take you along Independence Ave closer if you don't want to walk.
