The Starving Artist Series. Started in the DC by five Howard University students and alumni, the "SAS" seeks to empower artists by offering a venue to perform, create, and expose. With a mission of allowing poets and musicians the opportunity to be “the starving artist you’re afraid to be," SAS is the prime event for D.C.’s rawest talent.
