G Fine Art begins its 10th anniversary season with There is No Rising or Setting Sun, new paintings and works on paper by Maggie Michael. H Street Chalkwalk

The H Street Chalkwalk, sponsored by CHAMPS, H Street Mainstreet and East City Art, will begin at 10am when artists set up their installation all along the Street Corridor. From 3pm to 6pm, the public will get a chance to vote for their favorite creation. The event’s winner will be announced at an after party taking place at Little Miss Whiskey’s Golden Dollar Located at 1104 H St, NE from 6:30pm until last call!

SCRAP-DC presents their first exhibition, Making Meaning: Remember • Repurpose • Restore. SCRAP-DC is partnering with The Center for Green Urbanism, The 9/11 Arts Project and the Tubman Mahan Gallery for their first ever exhibition in Washington, DC. Consistent with SCRAPS’s mission to use the arts to connect our diverse community, the exhibition consists of works by several artists using reused materials. The exhibition seeks to open a citywide healing discourse on 10th anniversary September 11th.
