Leaving La Floresta (2011, 45 min) chronicles the forced displacement of a Colombian farming family whose crops were destroyed by U.S. spray planes as a result of U.S. policy in the war on drugs. After their crops were destroyed, the whole family was forced to journey to the city slums in search of work and shelter. This story of one family tells the story better than statistics can - and calls into question U.S. policies in the region. A Q&A session with Dan Roge, film co-director and founder of – Give Us Names – following screening. View trailer.
