Adams Morgan PorchFest celebrates local talent by turning the front stoops and porches of several Adams Morgan homes into performance spaces where local musicians will play for the community for free! "Inspired by similar Porchfest events across the country aimed at creating a family friendly, neighborhood-based alternative to the nightclub music scene, Adams Morgan’s version will span an eclectic range of styles from Brazilian, Irish and jazz, to indie rock, children’s music and even Egyptian Nubian folkloric(!)"

Participating bands/artists include, among others:
Karl Straub (impressionistic songwriter/rock/old school country/jazz)
Doug Stevenson and the Spades (Americana)
La Unica (Irish/Latin)
Justin Trawick (rock jazz)
David Kitchen (roots rock)
Rube (heartfelt rock with a pop sensibility)
Brûlée (Jazz-infused, Americana-marinated alt-pop)
Marsha Goodman-Wood (original kiddie-rock)

Sponsored by the Adams Morgan Business Improvement District (BID), Adams Morgan PorchFest is a joint project with Cultural Tourism DC and will bookend Art4All DC - One City, Four Quadrants, Activated with Arts: A Festival of Festivals that began September 13 and runs through October 6.
