Christina Day, Adjunct Professor of Fiber, Maryland Institute College of Art, will reveal the complex ikat process to listeners with the aid of models made by her students in collaboration with the museum during the Fall 2009 semester--and now on display in the exhibit Colors of the Oasis: Central Asian Ikats.

Admission to the museum is by donation, suggested donation is $8. Museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00am to 5:00pm and Sunday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Closed on Mondays and all federal holidays.
