Free
On view Friday, September 13th - Sunday, October 13th

"Graphic design communicates ideas en masse, a universally legible medium in service to commerce and clients alike.  Yet some of the most compelling designers today are producing singular, idiosyncratic work of a highly personal nature. What they create is an end unto itself, an unalloyed expression of the artist." Curated by: Jessica K. Pavone. Mentor Curator: Helen Frederick. "The designers in this show—Martin Venezky, Benjamin Critton, Keetra Dean Dixon and JK Keller, Carolyn V. Marsden, Anther Kiley—are heterogeneous, yet all are expanding and radicalizing the field. They are transforming and transmuting their medium into something new—expressive and singular, challenging and unexpected, idiosyncratic and impractical. Non Serviam presents works seeding the form’s improbable bloom."
